It's hard to find guitarist that stray away from Cowboy Chords and basic Bar Chords. The voicing you make with the chords and simply beautiful and add a whole new level to the music (especially when you're pedaling or just performing without a band in general.) Much respect. PS. If you could possibly to do a lesson for Arch and Point or leaves that would be amazing. \m/

Yeauuhhh, went in depth. Ostinato, that's stored in the memory bank. Funny, I didn't even know I was enjoying the meaning of that word until you explained it. So dope when you hear that same note ringing throughout a progression. Thank you Dru, keep em rolling! "Goingtohell "one day??😁😁😋

thank you Dru! love that Fsus voicing!
@drewplaysmusic8 жыл бұрын
+WTRWRLD Right on! Yeah, you could call it a 'sus' voicing, although that would traditionally mean there is no 3rd in the chord (the resolution to the 3rd is what makes a chord 'suspended'). Since there is a 3rd AND a 4th, that what makes it 'MajorAdd4'

Dru you're a sick guitarist man. My first impression was way off. I saw your performance on P3 with Miguel where you dropped the ball but that is seemingly the rare exception having watched a lot of your videos now.

I'm struggling with palm muting, any tips ?
@drewplaysmusic8 жыл бұрын
Check how you hold the pick. There are lots of ways to do it, some of them lend themselves to cleaner playing, faster playing, funkier, etc. You may adjust your normal comfortable pick style to really get the most out of palm muting. You don't have to change your style altogether, just move it around and see what kind of new sounds you get. And for palm muting, you're gonna want to play pretty hard to get the real percussive thing happening.
