The coffee/ tea probably worked better than the caffeine pills cause the whole drink has antioxidants etc more than just caffeine.

6 years ago my mum died of ovarian cancer, from that day I look for reasons why. I came to veganism and then to nutrition facts. I convinced my dad to turn into a vegan. He started to develop a cancerous tumour on his ear, due to covid 19 he couldn't get seen. 2 years later the cancer had grown to the size of about 3 grapes. He got back all the MRI, head and neck scans blood tests etc and the cancer had only stay in his ear area the cancer was also a extremely slow growing one. The doctors where shocked it had not spread. Im 100% certain his cancer was coming on for years slowly since my mum died. I'm also certain his diet has stopped the cancer from spreading, every day he has porridge, a large lentil salad mid-day and a meal I make for him in the evening. Followed by a smoothie with kale,tumeric,cardamon seeds, alma powder, matcha powder, beetroot, ginger, one garlic clove,mint leaves and frozen berries and a banana. A plant based/vegan diet is not a magic bullet but it will help. good luck guys. much love.

True also it should consider that green coffee been are more antioxidant rich and have a bit less caffeine than regular dried coffee beens I recommend a follow up video to compare and explain health differences and benefits of green coffee beens vs regular coffee been cus my hypothesis is this if true that the green coffee been has more a antioxidants it should provide a better result probably than those provided on this video but guess we will have to wait to find out.

At 6 months the caffeine didn't seem to work, but at 12 months it did seem to work. So even if it didn't seem to work at 18 months, who knows it works again some time after 18 months. The caffeine group has consistently fared better than the placebo group, so I think it's worth drinking some coffee.

Probably not a realistic solution to the symptoms if it only works 6 months off/on. Coffee is something that is powered by addiction so I would not recommend it on a regular basis. (or anything caffeinated really aside from maybe some teas)
@jadedk9916
@jadedk9916 2 жыл бұрын
@@XrayTheMyth23 Nobody needs your recommendation. People need science. And the science seems to say that you can significantly lower the symptoms of PD for most of the 18 months, and perhaps longer. Since regular coffee consumption lowers all-cause mortality, one should drink coffee anyway, and this PD symptom lowering effect is simply an added benefit.

Curious vid here......the second study involved caffeine pills, not coffee....as compared to the first study which was coffee....I think more research has to be done with this.....using coffee....I would be curious to know if using decaffeinated coffee would have the same effect? To me, I would definitely drink coffee if I had Parkinsons or knew someone I wanted to help that had Parkinsons........so, I'm not going to drawn the same conclusion that our good doctor has here on this subject.....

Soursop is one of my favorite fruit, delicious but i dont eat it often because i dont live in the tropics. Pretty sure it is not the ripe fruit flesh that is toxic, it wouldnt make any sense since it is delicious and not bitter (a sign of natural toxicity.) It comes as said in the video from the leaves and probably the seeds and the skin. Anona and cherimoya dont have the same taste as soursop at all, they are very different fruit.
@tinyjungle_
@tinyjungle_ 2 жыл бұрын
@@Julottt while I appreciate your reply I'm looking for science rather than speculation. I've eaten many varieties of annona and they all have their own taste. I don't think that's a compelling enough reason to dismiss possible side effects in other annona. The bitter assertion isn't very compelling either. Many bitter foods are healthful and good for us. Cherimoya is an annona so I'm not sure what you mean by annona tastes different than cherimoya. I do speculate and lean towards the seeds being the main culprit but I wouldn't tell anyone that unless I had very compelling evidence. It is also possible that people are making too much soursop leaf tea and that could be contributing to the problem. All speculation tho and that's why I'm looking for more science on the matter. I would like to have peace of mind knowing that eating all the soursop, sugar apple, custard apple, cherimoya, etc flesh isn't doing long-term damage to myself. Edit: fyi the study he cites and the one you reference from the video says there's a link to over consumption of fruit AND aqueous infusions of leaves (tea). Clearly based on the studies and the wording we need much more clarification before giving people recommendations.

@@tinyjungle_ Bitter taste is a sign of toxic compounds even if it can be not very harmful or dangerous, toxicologist know this well. You probably think coffee is healthy but caffeine is a natural pesticide made by the plant, just like nicotine.

Well duh, you can't just keep drinking 2 cups of coffee a day forever. It stops working. But they, as is typical of dorky science types, ignored the obvious solution - MORE COFFEE! Every once in a while, when the therapeutic dose causes too many tremors itself and you can no longer sleep, quit for a while, sweat out the headaches, and then wham bam thank you ma'am you're back to baseline and can start all over again! It's as if they researchers never drank coffee.

If you cycle any caffeinated beverage then you might gain benefits. Have caffeine one week, then don't have it the other. It's a bit difficult to do as caffeine is a drug and cycling in and out would mean having some will power to do it.

Plenty of plants have longer term neurotoxic effects. In soursop's case, its the compounds coreximine, reticuline, and especially annonacin that are toxic to dopaminergic neurons. Annonacin is chronic neurotoxic at 7 mg/kg doses PO in animal studies: an amount so small that it wouldn't effect the flavor much at all. I haven't located any papers comparing amounts in unripe or ripe fruit, only in leaves and seeds.
@Julottt
@Julottt 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrDarrylR These compounds are probably not present in significant amount in the ripe flesh of the fruit. Limonene is carcinogenic in citrus fruits but it is only present in significant amount in the peels. There are plenty of others similar exemple.
