The spiral up cut and the profile bit are the ones I go to first! My favorites!
@oldave1007 жыл бұрын
They both cut really well.

Thank you for the video. Wouldn't using down cut spiral bit instead of the up cut better for cleaner surface?
@oldave1003 жыл бұрын
I use the upcut so it pulls the sawdust out of the cut rather than pushing it down into the cut.

Do a demo on different other types of backgrounds you can do besides the flat and small circles with the 90 degree bit for both inset and outset letters. Great video as usual Eric and Vicki

I have done some in the past (check out LTS Num. 1, and #55), but not a bad idea to update them. Thank you for watching.....

Hey Dave I sent you a email ... not sure if I’m not seeing it but do you ship your bits outside of the Usa ?
@oldave1007 жыл бұрын
We haven't seen your email. We ship international all the time. Please send an email to vickiwithdavesigns@gmail.com. Let her know what you want to order and your postal address and she will get back to you with an exact price. Sorry for the delay, Eric

Why not use a dremel for the clean up stuff?
@oldave1004 жыл бұрын
Dremel doesn't have the power that a router does.
@richardhopson15852 жыл бұрын
Why don't you use a compression bit?
@oldave1002 жыл бұрын
There really wasn't a need to use a compression bit. The upcut works really well for this application
@richardhopson15852 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I forgot you technically have to go the depth of the bit also.

Great video Eric and Vicki. I never knew you could use the spiral up cut bit for a flat background. Thanks for all you do. Btw the festival with your son looked awesome. Did it go well for him?
@oldave1007 жыл бұрын
HI Dan, it went very well. The kids had a great "first time" event. It was so much fun.....Vicki

Eric please tell me why or why not use sanding sealer
@oldave1005 жыл бұрын
I use sanding sealer on pine or very light colored woods to help prevent bleeding when spraying on the black. I've done lots of videos on the process. Email me if you links. Thank you my friend, Eric

I have been using a flat bit now for a little while and I'm wondering if a spiral upcut will give me more consistency sometimes what happens when I get around two finishing signs I will get gouges does this solve that problem??
