These are great!!!! Grazie mille! We just got back from a 3 week trip in Italy and we used these lessons to help us learn Italian. We actually tricked a few people into thinking we spoke a lot better than we actually can. There were 3 different people who complimented us on our pronunciation and grammar.

thank you for all the wonderful episodes! i would like to ask,can you use the verb piacere when refering to a person? for example can you say "i like you" in italian using piacere?

Ciao and thanks for your kind comment! Yes, the verb 'piacere' can be used with reference to people as well as things. In your specific example, you would have to say: 'mi piaci'. Notice that the verb 'piacere' here is used in the second person singular (tu form), whereas the English 'I' is translated as 'mi'. If you are thiking of a you plural (you all), then you would have to say: 'mi piacete'. We hope this helps!

It is so similar to Spanish, “me gusta la pizza”, “me gustan los hongos” ☺️
