The mate I saw during the game was @ 7:16 Knight D6 hitting the queen and bishop. Queen has to keep an eye on the F7 pawn as there is a triple attack now, and can't move to the D file or risk discoveries. What to do if it moves away there is no way to prevent the loss of the bishop and you have to take back with pawn to prevent mate, but that lets the queen move to the outside file and then there is no preventing mate there... Now If queen moves to E6 pinning the knight then the other knight comes to F7 threatening mate with Q-H8 you have to sack the rook to stop it... But it's not mate I think you have the option of a perpetual, and if you push it right you can trade the rook and knight for the queen and rook so a bishop vs queen endgame will eventually end in mate.

Dave @ 6:15 Duck is afraid of knight H4 forcing an exchange of knights and landing your queen on the H7 square with no way to kick it or the other knight that's coming to G6... He smiles when you play it to G6.

nice video, but looking at 12.46 min in the analysis the black queen in c6 doesn't work it would be been an easy mate for white just qf7 check, black king must go in h8 and there s just mate by white with qh7, so try to trade the queen in that case was just the end for black....

Duck has a better middlegame because Duck can play aggressive tactical middlegame and he can play slick tactical middlegame. Dave is very good but hes limited to plyong aggresive tactical middlegame. Limited perspective misses moves.
