I am an american musician who had never heard of Cog untill my band played in Melbourne. We were the opening act for some major international bands. Just before one of the headlining acts was about to go on, I noticed a small group of people leaving the concert. I asked what was going on, and one of them told me that they were going to see Cog, and, recognizing me from the show, invited me to come along. So, I ditched my band during load out to go see them. MY MIND WAS BLOWN!! Been hooked since.

Cog, Shihad and The Butterfly Effect were 3 of my fav bands in high school (in the 90’s) and I’m more than pumped to see these bands play at my locals in 2025. At 44 years of age…I’ll feel 17 again, when life was simple and great

I remember seeing a local band at maroochydore called melodessey and there was a promotion for cog. So i went and seen them at the dirty sands tavern in maroochydore and low and behold the band before them was "dead letter circus" well before they had been discovered. And holy shit what a night, dead letter killed it and cog sounded lile a 5 peice and they are but 3 bogans from bondi.. awesome dudes.

This band is so underrated. F*uck I love being an Aussie. Unlike "that other country" our music is real. Karnivool, Bliss n eso, Hilltop Hoods, Art vs Science, Temper trap, Birds of Tokyo...You name it. We're Real =]

The realest one for me is karnivool
@SpaghettiFPV-tg3qh2 жыл бұрын
Karnivool is fucking insane man That bands timing together is out of this world they change rythyms so much. The drummer goes from syncopated metal to reggae to everything in one song.

Just by looking and listening to Lucius plays the drums you could tell he is talented. I mean, just listen to the drummers in the mainstream bands. All they do is create simple beats and that gets them enough attention from millions of people. Lucius probably works his ass off to try to satisfy a small group of people. Nonetheless, it is good to see, and great to hear!

sounds like every other band out today. the lyrics are much more in depth though, i will give it that. but the comment about the extremely talented and rare drummer, is either false or australia REALLY needs to learn to play drums
@KingdomOfApple10 жыл бұрын
Don't judge them on one song. The rest of their stuff is very diverse, and not at all generic. Also, the drummer is actually quite incredible. Once again, you're judging them off one song. Don't do that; it makes you look stupid.
@sirstrobie243610 жыл бұрын
Lol, okay buddy. First of all i did look at a few of their other videos, even the singers new project. So whos stupid now? Ever heard of Mike Portnoit from Dream Theatre? Thata what a talented drummer sounds like, not a rythm drummer. Thats also what a truly talented band sounds like. Not Puddle Of Mud or whatever Nickelback wannabe band this is...
@KingdomOfApple10 жыл бұрын
Sir Strobie I'm sure Lucius would give Portnoit a run for his money. Have you seen him live? And comparing Cog to Nickelback? Yeah. You're still stupid...
@sirstrobie243610 жыл бұрын
Sorry idiot but not everybody likes the same commercial b.s. that you do. And you OBVIOUSLY have no idea who portnoit is. Looking for some of your boyfriends drum solos and dont see any... Huh, must be he isnt good enough to be recognized that well...
@KingdomOfApple10 жыл бұрын
Sir Strobie Good talk, man, but I don't like stooping to such a moronic level as you've done. Plus I'm sure you've got other songs on YT to go troll on, so I'll let you carry on your way.
