Tip from a camper. When cooking, take your sink covers and prop between the stove top and refrigerator wall and a side splash to keep that wall clean and make room. I have lots of tips, if you want some. Been camping 30 years with family. You all will enjoy it. So happy for you all.
@terrimccullough7243 жыл бұрын
And be careful using a toilet brush in the RV toilet. They tend to make the seal leak. Easy enough fix though for leaky seal. Heat vinegar in microwave, pour in toilet and let it sit. Will reseal (usually). Nothing worse than no water in the bowl
@vmorganbogart3 жыл бұрын
Make sure your toilet brush is all plastic. Metal will scratch the toilet, since it is plastic. We always put our used toilet paper in a trash can by the toilet. It sure keeps the tank from filling up as fast & eliminates clogs. If they are going to hook it directly to the septic tank, that’s not so much of a problem.

As a former camper owner, that outside shower area is the part I liked best. It offered privacy with the addition of shower curtain. Make you a floor with slats, drain area out of treated wood (it’ll last long enough for your use, teak wood expensive), with gravel under, & you’ll be in business. I’d encourage everyone to take outside showers, weather permitting, to keep steam out of air. You’ll have fun!! P.S. Get stabilizers!!

Outdoor shower area idea 💡 what about magnetic hooks or command strip hooks? They might put less pressure on the area than a tension shower rod? It depends on which areas are magnetic. That way if you have metal areas along the way down the sides you could also attach the sides of a shower curtain with magnets. 🧲 It might give additional privacy in windy conditions. 😉 I hope that you'll have so much fun!

When you get your house done you give them a call and they bring the pod to your house. You only load it once and unpack once. Your stuff is protected from mice and other critters. Check it out. I’ve also had friends that put all their belongings in a semi trailer then moved it to their new house when it was done.

I have one over my travel trailer and in the summer it keeps the hot sun off and helps keep it cooler so the AC doesn't run and run. Also, you aren't going to want to leave that awning out all the time. It doesn't take much wind to catch it and break the frame on it. The metal awning .. if you get it wide enough will be a great porch cover too.

I thought the same thing..😞 I never heard him refer to the bunk house (what the RV world calls it) “as Mary Carl’s room..❤️ I have a fifth wheel with a bunkhouse which is my “sons room❤️” It has a desktop but I never referred to it as My Office. He made it sound like MC didn’t have her own room.. She’s such a sweet lil girl.

Rockwood is an excellent choice! They are a very respected brand. It's definitely a beautiful rig. Everyone looks incredibly happy and I am happy for you all. Has anyone suggested a concrete pad? You'll be very happy you spent the money when the rains return. You've picked out a lovely spot to place it. Has anyone suggested an open pole barn type structure to place over it to protect the roof and slides from leaf litter {messes the slides up badly}, hail, snow etc? The slides are potentially the most problematic part of the rig. It takes very little to jam them or damage them. There are things that look like very tall jack stands which I strongly advise you consider. You would need 2 for each slide. One on each protruding corner. You've made some excellent choices for keeping the rig safe and, by extension, your family safe from excess internal moisture/humidity. The outside shower will be a blessing after a long day. It keeps the muck out of the holding tanks. However - as beautifully simple as a tension rod and curtain seems - never attach anything to the slides. There are fairly inexpensive pop-up shower enclosures designed for tent campers that would work well and preserve Mary Carl's modesty much better (she isn't quite tall enough yet to clear the slide bottom exposure). It will also help prevent any rain or shower water getting past the gaskets and causing internal water damage. I am really looking forward to seeing you build your new homestead. I know Nugget will love the space and Peaches will have many afternoon nap locations from which to choose.

Oh, couldn't click fast enough. It looks ideal for your needs. It should certainly help you manage the time better, and take away some of that stress.

It's a gorgeous rig! We have a 34 foot Winnebago Journey Diesel pusher with 2 slides. We love ours as we drive to Yuma every winter and stay for almost 5 months. Our Rig is a class A. We have a 4 door refrig, with an ice maker. For just the two of us, it is very comfortable! You will love your rig as much as we love ours.

I know I’ve made lots of comments but this camper is absolutely gorgeous it could be a permanent living space for sometime until you get the house built absolutely gorgeous when you’ve got your priorities set with the birds and the other animals and miracle seems very excited about moving over it’s a lot of work moving animals and making new buildings and I know some of the buildings will be going with you but not all of them will you be taking the fig trees with you or at least one

Hi glad you got what you needed. That's a lot of your back. Don't no if anyone else has said anything. But you will want to change your out side lights to amber so it doesn't bring all the bugs flying in. Because the normal light will bring them all in to your camper. So you would be better putting amber lights in. All the best from Andy in UK
