Thanks for the info and demonstration on Fire Paste. What are the ingredients in the Fire Paste? Also, why don't you pre-soak the cotton balls with petroleum jelly and put them in a plastic bag?

Dryer lint works good too if you I u want to save a buck. I keep it in a zip lock bag in my gear bag.

Why not just carry the Vaseline? You can put it in a tube, if you want a different form factor. The cotton is just a carrier for the petroleum jelly.

I tried this, it would Start fires but after that tube sprung a leak in my pack and got over everything I ditched it, I want to be able to throw my pack down a mountain and know everything in it survived
