I think it’s asinine to stand behind any podium in front of an audience without notes and thoughts which says to the majority of listeners, you have taken this assignment seriously and have given your time prior to right now to study and pray and consecrate and allowed God time to speak to you what he has for his people. You are in the extreme minority of listeners who think a person in a church setting shouldn’t be prepared and instead think they should just ‘flow’ in God and somehow if they don’t then they are not a real believer, are fake, and leading folks astray. A secular professional by your statements can and should be prepared and no issues at all with that. 🤦🏽‍♂️ You can continue to have that thinking and live your life in your own way and just be as happy and oblivious as you want to be. I’m going to continue to follow the Bible: 2 Timothy 2;15.. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. There is no shame in studying and rightly dividing the word of God no matter how it is done. If shame is brought to the person following the Bible then that in and of itself is not biblical.
