And I can imagine Bishop Ford dispensed with his after Bishop Patterson's death, not being fond of all the dressing anyway. Also, Patterson died in office. Did that make Ford acting, till the close of that term, or was an early election held?

@@black_hawk9638 I think he was acting since he was 1st assistant bishop until they voted him in. I think it was the same after he passed and Bishop Owens took office.
