That’s the original soloist Mother Ora Watkins. She had blondes hair back in the day. She was giving them life. Growing up Cogic myself that was rare back then even when I was a kid lol.

Knowing that Madame Ora’s voice is not as strong as it used to be, the choir should’ve given her the much needed help. Madame’s generation trainee so hard to master this song, and I think the choir is supposed to honor the Southwest Michigan State Choir’s work .... if Karen, Dorinda, or any of the Clarks were present, I would’ve felt so sorry for them. It’s just like seeing a beloved’s hard work being made fun of long after that person is no longer around ...

There was nothing wrong with the soloist or the choir. The soloist's microphone could have been adjusted a little so that she could be heard better. Or it could have been the video recording audio. But there was nothing wrong with the performance.
