Cognitive psychology is the scientific investigation of human cognition, that is, all our mental abilities - perceiving, learning, remembering, thinking, reasoning, and understanding. The term “cognition” stems from the Latin word “ cognoscere” or "to know". Fundamentally, cognitive psychology studies how people acquire and apply knowledge or information. It is closely related to the highly interdisciplinary cognitive science and influenced by artificial intelligence, computer science, philosophy, anthropology, linguistics, biology, physics, and neuroscience.

You want to wake up and believe in yourself that anything is possible by believing what someone else thinks or maybe it's better to hold yourself accountable for your own beliefs finally and realize that you are an inexperienced creator and have adopted limitations of someone that is equally capable as you are be man was created equal... Let that sink in and you decide what it means in your reality

I've seen some people exclude perception from cognition, and I've done people consider emotions to be a part of it, any ideas?

Stop being so lazy, do not speak for all intellects and have more faith in yourself and humans.

It is a matter of perspective. I was just like you. Now I see things differently, I'm still lazy, but at least I learned to love acquiring information while studying and now it is less bothering for me to work/study. Remember, people who complain a lot are those who don't make much effort in their daily lives but want to be successful anyway and will probably seek to criticize the ones who worked hard during their whole life just to feel better or less intimidated. You can still do nothing, live in a Douga Douga way and accept the unfairness of life. Only if it's okay with you.
