Hi. Your videos are incredibly useful and make me euphoric. My question is that, at 4:50 do you need to know that acceleration for gravity is 9.8m/s squared? please tell me as I am nonplussed

i think so, because its just a fact you need to the speed of gravity and a lot of people do

if the question doesn't give you a specific acceleration use earths acceleration yes for the best but sometimes exams will give you earths acceleration mostly

thats because it is a known fact that free fall on earth is 9.8m/s squared, so u need to memerise this fact (sometimes it is rounded to 10m/s squared but yeah)
@kaitlynwylds5932 Жыл бұрын
It's the gravitational force, because the ball is being dropped you need to apply gravity to the ball!

How did you get the result of 49/19.6= 2.5 m?
@nabiha59423 жыл бұрын
umm....... that is simple division bro... dividing 49... not taking squared root.(if thats what confusing u)
@ashwaqmunif77002 жыл бұрын
because 7 squared - 0 is 49 / (earths acceleration * 2 = 19.6) so 49/19.6 = 2.5

4:16 how and why is it 9?
@ashwaqmunif77002 жыл бұрын
because thats earth acceleration and if exams are saying a object is falling without giving you a specific acceleration it will be set auto to earths acceleration which is 9.8
@alexandersalas1998 Жыл бұрын
Where did the 9.8 m/s2 came from?
@kaitlynwylds5932 Жыл бұрын
9.8m/s2 is the gravitational force, any object that is falling or dropped has a force of gravity applied, meaning you need to include the acceleration of 9.8m/s2 (gravity)

see everything in earth accelartes at 9.8 m per second so thats the accelaration and in the formula u have to multiple the accelartion by 2 so he multiplied 9.8 by 2
