This is genius!!! I wish I had the cutting and splicing skills you have! I have a 22u Navepoint that something like this would be ideal for! Those OEM fans that come with the rack are VERY VERY LOUD!

Thank you. I just ordered one with an extra controller from Noctua "NA-FC1". You can fine tune the RPM with these neat little device 🙂 I really liked your video, how nice and clean the two fans are setup.

Love your setup! I can't wait to move to Florida. I hate jersey. I love watching home theater videos cause I get more knowledge I get ideas I also think what I would do different in the room. The only thing I think I would of done different in your room is put a side by side rack under center channel but it kind of sucks that you got the fireplace there. Personally I think fireplaces are useless in florida but that's just me. But you did a great job with all your wire hide and your setup looks really nice.

Mr. Stuff, thanks for your vids. I just found a two-year-old one that looks to be very helpful. I just asked a question in the comments there. I've no idea whether you would ever see that. IMHO using the low-speed version (1200RPM, 12V) is the ideal mix of air flow and fan noise (still silent up to 1 foot away) You should also probably use the included gasket to make a better seal to the top of your cabinet. I doubt it will make much difference (as they're designed to seal to PC radiators for better air flow there) but it's free in the package and can only help If your cabinet has intakes it's worth adding an equal number of fans to intake as exhaust

Can you make a video on how you connect the fan with Alexa voice control? Is your upgraded fan 3pin or 4pin? And what’s the difference?
@COGuyStuff Жыл бұрын
It's simply on a smart plug - use one of your choice. It doesn't matter if it's a 3 or 4 pin, you are only using two. The other wires are for PC use.

I know im late on the ball here but noctua got flat fasteners so you dont have to cut them off 😊

How does the Noctua fans compare to AC Infinity fans of simlar size?
@COGuyStuff2 жыл бұрын
More flow and no noise, not even in the same ballpark

@@COGuyStuff much appreciated for this response. I really am trying to find the right combination of 2 intake fans on bottom of of rack and two exhaust up top, all controlled by a central temp controlled controller. Can the AC Infinity Controller 12 work on 4 Noctua fans plug n play. I'm not much of a hobbyist so looking for something that can be plugged right in and work
@COGuyStuff2 жыл бұрын
Not plug and play, no. You will at minimum need to do some splicing and wiring. And it all depends on exactly what fans and config in the rack you are going for. Sounds like you just need to stick with all ACI equipment and let it run.

@@COGuyStuff I Heard that running a PWM fan with just a 2 wire voltage controller isnt the best for a 4 wire PWM fan, and that a 3 wire fan should be use instead
