Awesome video! But realize this, 1 cog wheel has 3 states; 0 - not spinning 1 - spinning clockwise 2 - spinning anti-clockwise You could use the extra bit to your advantage. In electronics wires have two states; 0 - no electricity running through 1 - electricity is running through

***** Also, you could store more information. say we have a 4 bit flip flop type memory in electronics; there could be many states, but we will count them with a formula: ("^" being power-of) 2^(bits) Applying to electronics: 2^4 = 16 different combinations. But with cogwheels it would be: 3^(bits) Applying to the cogwheels: 3^4 = 81 different combinations. Pretty cool eh?

When it not spinning, there can't be inverter.
@0EEVV04 жыл бұрын
@@Kerbis_Iffin actually, you can. Ever heard of three valued logic? True (T), False (F), Unknown (U). U is the solution for x in x = not x in other words: U = not U.

why not store the rotation itself as the state, then theres as many states as you can accurately measure

Nice!!! look into gear differentials and you’ll open a whole world of two input, one output possibilities!!!

The green "rolls" are actually called teeth. On the top of the teeth are, well, teeth! On the bottom, is a flat surface, or maybe more teeth. The teeth look like the teeth of a gear! So when you rotate the gear onto the teeth, the teeth with move.

In the AND gate, what are the green Brussels?

Devan Andree I know this is two years late, but I think they are pushed by the gears to move parts of the gate
