I didn't want it potentially slowing down my pershing because I was feeling a bit resource starved. I also have been preferring grenades to bars late vs osttruppen too. Last time I played USF it was with early bars and they just weren't working for me vs osttruppen.

Might be half worth getting a fighting position then upgrading the 50.cal on it to cover your own cutoff since you don't need BAR-rifleman as quickly since Ostruppen's combat potential is much lower than grens

There's two ways to look at Ostruppen. As weak combat troops or as a sticky mass that you can spread all over the map to get a resource lead without bleeding too much. Bars help you remove them much much faster, giving you way more map control

Very helpful, though you have to find opportunities to plant them which can be tricky if you are lacking map control.

What do you mean, Pershing in 1v1 is an absolute monster, and the rangers did suuuch work preventing the pak40s to vet up, that stun shot is the pershings biggest fear... Officer choice I can understand both, I like captain... Steal one mg and you don't need to backtech, but with LT you need to backtech

If you got rangers and grenades instead you're probably good with the Captain providing some early power. Snatching the MG42 was also a pretty big equalizer

The Ostheer player threw the wole match at Min 30 he could have pushed onto the paks on ur cutoff w railway artillery and p4 +panther vs pershing and brummbär vs inf was an easy win for him there. pershing wasnt even full hp

Last time I played USF I went for fast bars and it wasn't working vs osttruppen. Also I have to pay for that upgrade, theirs is included in tech.
