Got some intense action on Villa fiore with some Fierce Australian and Panther battles and quite a few surprises!

I understand opening with pioneers with their new capture speed increase at vet 1, but it gives the Australians the only early matchup they win. Then following it up with light vehicle play with no infantry support? It would’ve been way stronger to get one 8rad and 1 of the new buffed stugs instead of a panther rush so that they could afford more infantry to actually support their map dominance. It made 0 sense to get a panther against stuarts heavy build with no heavier tanks. They knew the early 17 pounder was out and even built the nebel to counter it, yet heavily invested in units that lost to it. The Wher player had complete map control due to it, yet couldn’t push that advantage because of the lack of infantry. Then to top it off going stgs on the stosstrupen who need to get close against the excellent long range light infantry so they lose extra models or lose at range, especially when they already have a higher model count panzergranadier, just felt like an error of build order rather than any individual micro mistakes or unit control. The Britain player felt like he played well, and just never got punished for that build order. Knowing when to push build order against your opponent refusing to punish it is an underrated skill. Weird game overall, but a good one. Thanks for the cast!

They got a little too stubborn on sticking to the build instead of adapting. That one nebelwerfer could never clear out all those sapper supported 17pdr nests. I do wish more people would catch on to the 2pdr though. Brilliant little gun.

LOL not sure why ares complained about 17 pdr rotation, nebel was the way to go and an earlier brumbar would've probably solved the issue. Panthers are nice but there wasn't anything for them to fight other than the emplacements designed to knock them out.

If Ares had kept playing through the depths of Wehr performance, he might have learned that Medic bunkers are an axcellent choice in reducing lategame MP attrition. :p

Yeah, the 17 pounder that early rather than just getting a 2pdr makes no sense. And just concedes so much map control since you can play around it avoiding said static emplacement and taking the flanks
