SSTB, Good Apollo (Willing Well series) sure were proggy, and The Afterman double albums ventured back there, but this album is literally verse chorus verse chorus quiet build up breakdown double chorus finish. Wow I probably haven’t listened to this band for at least 10-12 years now. I randomly had Welcome home stuck in my head this morning and started looking them up. Stumbled on this and figured it was an older song that I’ve never heard before..I can’t believe this was just uploaded only 4 days ago, and they still sound this amazing! Really brings me back to the early 2000’s going to Warped tour every year where I originally discovered them, and was blown away by Claudios amazing vocals & the talent of the entire band. Such an underrated band still to this day.

Coheed released Shoulders and I thought "Well alright, this is amazing, definitely going to be my favorite song on the album!" Then Coheed released Cut the Cord and that thought turned to "Wow, Shoulders and this song are amazing, I can't imagine it'll get any better." Then they did it. They topped it with this song. I've been listening to these guys for over half my life. Even though they don't know it they've celebrated birthdays with me, been there for me through deaths and breakups, pumped me up for some of the biggest moments in my life, played at my wedding, made me feel sad and happy and hopeful (sometimes all at once). Coheed and Cambria was a band I used to see every year when they went on tour, basically from 2005 until 2014. Then nothing for 7 years. And now I'm in a much better place and my favorite band is releasing killer music and going on tour and I can't wait until August to see them.
