The banda is really underground in Brazil, this is something we have to understand.... I'm brazillian, I was there, I didn't show the respect this song needed... But after Rock In Rio Co&Ca became such a part of my life... Now I'm just prud to say that I am a Child of the Fence!!

This video in a nutshell: 1. 0:01 - Badass intro to Everything Evil 2. 0:01-3:09 - Coheed plays the first half to Everything Evil; fans completely dead and unresponsive. 3. 3:10 - Coheed plays The Trooper. 4. 3:14 - Fans realize Coheed is playing The Trooper, and go absolutely fucking crazy. 5. 5:36 - Claudio says, "So that's what it takes."

Dude, I was in that show. And I was sitting down for most of their presentation (saving my energies for the other shows of the night). I can tell you that more than 90% of the crowd had never heard a single song of 'em before the concert. I thought it was pretty damn good and have actually listened to more of 'em after that.

Sick bro. Mostly a fan of their older material but the newer stuff has started to grow on me. Prefer the old drummer to the new and the old bassist to the new but Claudio & Travis have been the glue to this well oiled machine since day one so as long as those 2 stick around there will be a few more good tunes ahead!

Um... have you not heard a Coheed live performance in the last year? His voice is far better now than it has ever been. He has more power, control and flexibility and is so consistent live now. Even when he was great earlier in his career he was never consistent like he is now. Look up Coheed covering Heaven and Hell if you want a good example. He was extremely sick in this performance and it makes the range he sings in just about impossible.

You gotta think though, this concert is when they were playing with Slipknot and Trivium (and Coheed was the opening act if I'm not mistaken). I know not everybody is narrow minded or anything, but the fan basis isn't the same. There probably were more Slipknot and/or Trivium fans in the audience than Coheed and Cambria fans.
@DouglaumMG12 жыл бұрын
People started getting up and jumping after 'The Trooper' 'cause Maiden is basically brazilians favorite band! I remember thinking after their show ended that they should have played Trooper earlier, cause the crowd gave a lot more energy after that.

@TheAndrewBryan Dude, if the crowd doesn't know who they are, then why would they? I'm saying, out of the thousands of people there, how many do you think would actually KNOW Coheed? Honestly. I'm not surprised. I love Coheed, and think that they were one of the best bands for a long time. Let's be realistic though, I think many people know the song "The Trooper" before they even acknowledge that Coheed & Cambria exist.

I know I'm replying with a 10 year old comment (as of commenting this in 2022) but they tried to hype the audience. My guess Co&Ca isn't really well known in Brazil so they did it. The only other song that the crowd was somewhat hyped was Welcome Home.
