REVOLVER

5 жыл бұрын

At sunset on June 4th, prog-rock quartet Coheed and Cambria kicked off a stunning 90-minute performance on Stone Pony's Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Revolver's film crew was there to capture the full set, which saw the band playing support of their latest album, 'Vaxis - Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures.' The group tore through new songs - like "The Gutter," "Old Flames" and "The Dark Sentencer" - as well as classics like "A Favor House Atlantic," "No World for Tomorrow" and, of course, "Welcome Home," with frontman Claudio Sanchez busting out the double-neck guitar. Watch the full set now.

Multitasking at its best. Same as marching with an instrument. You have to memorize the songs, know when play louder or softer, slower or faster, all while remembering where to move on the field. When to stop moving, when to start moving, using your peripheral vision to mind the people next to you so you dont collide with them, and also watching the drum majors or directors. It's crazy.

Claudio really came back from a massive slump in the late 00s. His voice was damn near gone by 2009. Like he would flat out miss every high note in a song sometimes. It's actually incredible how consistent he has become. Turns out you can't smoke cigs and be a good front man at the same time.
