The sad part is that given the setting this could have been done far more naturaly. Tunnels could collapse randomly leading you to the path to the next level which could in turn be smaller, but frankly Tarkov proved that you really don't need to restrict the play area.

@@AdarBlu the game is so BORING. mobs take too many hits to kill, do too much damage, map is small and claustrophobic which would be fine if there wasnt the aforementioned zone to restrict the size of the already small map, combat is clunky and jank and frankly not fun, i feel chivalry already set the standard on what video game pvp swordplay should be like. you dont have a feint, you dont have a block with some weapons, you dont have the option to change the directions of your swing, you get a basic combo that comes with your weapon and spam it. BORING. nothing in this game is fun. i dont know how any one likes it. the idea is great but the execution is so awful. i was hyped for this game too until i played this playtest. awful game.

@@MMaRsu its exactly my taste, i love those genres. the problem is that the execution of all the mechanics is half baked or just awfully implemented. i dont know how having a more in depth combat system like the one i described would be anything but a benefit to the game LOL, the combat is so basic and boring. yes bro i love spamming m1 on enemies that take so many hits to die and also do way more damage to you than you do to them! i love the sluggish movement that makes it feel like im treading through a swamp! i love the cramped boring map design with the same old played out battle royale zone that has no place in an extraction type game! i love not having the option to block with several weapons just because! i love spamming the same weapon combo over and over with no possibility for a higher skill ceiling in swordplay because you cant change directions of swings, or feint, or parry! yes bro its a taste thing definitely not that the game is just terrible LOL

@@fedord01 who is raging? i stated my opinion. played several video games LOL. and pre alpha? its in alpha. game releases q4 2023, unless they do a massive overhaul of the combat, i doubt anything is going to change about the way swordsmanship is handled. and it will be a massive waste of potential.

I like the idea behind the game and the presentation, personally I’m just not a fan of pvp games. I think it could be cool if everyone started in a different place and were all working their ways towards each other to cooperate and survive, as it stands I’m not sure it’s a game for me.

Could be a cool game. But the forced fighting and ring damage kinda ruin it. Clearly a fireball or aoe spell from a camping mage instantly ruins the game.

You can do a dungeon without even seeing another person and you can simply run away. But the camping mage issue you highlighted could be a thing but it's hard to pull off because the map shrinks and even if you tried camping the center of the map that's where all the crazy tough enemies are.

@@VahdaMage feels like forced fighting when its got BR vibes going on. I guess technically you could hide and evade enemies. But once people get geared, the 7 Basic mobs are going to be trivial and people are going to player hunt and abuse the 3/5 sec door open close mechanic

@@ExistenceLight I hope it for the devs, i'm speaking from a gut feeling i developed after watching games born and die for 20yh of gaming. Compared to tarkov it doesn't 'feel' niche enough. Maybe i'm wrong, i honestly don't really care, it's not my genre, i prefer pve games.

@@onsidesilver7828 well yeah PvE games go stale a hell of alot quicker than games with a competitive element. Its the player interactions that keep things fresh, they have already spoken about alot of plans for the future one of which is including voip etc. I mean look at rust for instance. People have been doing the same shit over and over every week for years in that game and still love it. Its the different scenarios and interactions that keep you wanting more.
