OH. MY. GOD. I just realized that the burned pillar at 23:22 is [SPOILERS] the crank that the Prisoner used to turn off the Eye probe damper, and that the screen on the table is showing us that it doesn't work anymore! They burned it so nobody else could use it and release the Eye's signal! God, paired with the bars locking the owlks in place on their simulation sleeping boards, their tale just keeps getting more and more tragic, dark, and dystopian. I love how even years later and even after watching multiple playthroughs from different people, I'm only just now recognizing the significance of this room. It's a true credit to this game that I can keep learning new things with every watch. So impressive.

my first time in the owldream, i was like... "these look scary but they also look so sad. i am going to hug the owlk." and then i did. i was veeery briefly spooked but not, like, scared, and then... i saw the animation. Oh, they won my heart immediately. Poor things just want to be left alone. I can relate! though i also didn't get the ooch owch my bones achievement until *after* finishing the dlc... that, uh, that was pretty metal. tbh ngl i still relate though only to a point lmao

Well the main game came out in 2019 and the dlc 3 years later Also for a while the dlc would corrupt your save games but I think they fixed it now so you had to use a new safe

whys he playing the dlc before the rest of the game? i mean, to each their own, but at least learn what the 'eye' even is.. the amount of trouble he was having, like even basic self awareness such as putting on a suit (thats the first thing you see everytime you enter the ship.. dude, when do astronauts put on their suits? on earth, or in orbit? 🤦) .. anyways, makes me think he should have saved the dlc for right before the ending..
