Starting at 24:15 when Cohh starts building the chest and figuring out the storage system tells me that the crafting/storage system in the game he’s helping make it going to have the best QOL ever.

Its got goofy graphics and shit, sure, but its an actual game where you do stuff like with guns, and slavework. I dont see why peolle want this game to be another shit pokemon game, its a survival game mixed with arceus.

Because there's nothing to sue over. They haven't infringed on Pokémon's IP or trademarks, and it's more of an ARK game than a Pokémon one mechanically.

It bothers me when the game has a spear and your attack animation doesn't even use the full range it allows because they just hold it exactly in the middle rather than thrusting the full length of the shaft forward like anyone with common sense would do.

I guess that's the thing tho, if they did that wouldn't it just be Pokemon and why wouldn't you just go play Pokemon then right? Game looks interesting not gonna say amazing. Personally I think I'm like you and find Ark style games boring, but we gotta remember that doesn't directly make them bad or mid just different. I think the Pals and automation are suppose to appeal to people who might normally not play Ark but would play this. And to be fair, if it's similar to ark but new with better graphics could just be the next Ark which isn't bad just not great.

That was my thought as well. Just a basic survival with a slight creature gimmick. Perhaps they'll flesh it out. I'll be keeping an eye on it because it has potential. I'm just worried this is another case of hype blindness.

To circle back on this a week later, I think you’re still right but obviously they nailed something a lot of people really wanted. The hype will fall off a cliff when people reach the point it gets boring. The real test will be how they iterate to hold the audience.
