Someone about the DLSS comment 6:00 , it's cause DLSS has things like DLAA which are DLSS without reducing the graphical quality just improving it but no FPS gain either just graphical improvement. So the DLSS tech can be used to improve graphics and to improve FPS just not at the same time per-say.
@IcyTorment9 ай бұрын
Well, it *can* do both at the same time in some cases, if the anti-aliasing helps a particular case more than the upscaling hurts it. And it's "per se," not "per-say."

in the topic of DLSS making the game looks better I think they meant your gaming going from 1080p to 2k with DLSS, in theory it runs better AND looks better. Now if your game already runs at 2k/4k and you use DLSS to gain performance, yes, it'll look a little bit worse than native resolution.

So... I'm super late, but there's a chance you didn't learn this because it's not explained anywhere that I saw. If you "pick up" a Pal, and you throw it back down near work in your base, you will assign them to that particular work and they will do it until it's no longer valid. To cancel this, you just repeat the process but you drop them away from valid work. (ie, an open area away from work, or at work they can't do)

DLSS 3.5 introduced ray reconstruction which actually looks better than Native when using Ray Tracing. It affects how the RTX denoising works and gives significantly better visual quality.

You really deprived us of watching the lamball just roll and bounce down the cliff after callously murdering it? 😢😂
@Henk7179 ай бұрын
On the DLSS discussion, both are right. DLSS ensures that things look better than just running on a low resolution since its upscaling that lower resolution enhancing the visuals. So Nvidia is right on that. But CohhCarnage is also right, because it does look worse than just running at the native resolution.

I feel like the graphical hit from using DLSS is so small that I'll always use it even if just in quality. But I typically prefer balanced. I need that watering can for my next stardew run. Come on cohh, you don't want your kids to capture animals and put them to work on a plantation? Lol

DLSS's technology is based on upscaling textures using AI, when at a high resolution there are some cases where there are more details than there were before.

Yeah I use it on every game that supports it with no discernable drop in graphical fidelity and usually almost double the framerate. Pretty amazing what can be done with ai. Cyberpunk can look a little weird with raytracing on but frame generation helps alot.
@Songfugel10 ай бұрын
Cyberpunk is a great example of this, is it the first massive game that uses ray-reconstruction, which is one of the key techniques of DLSS3.5 NVIDIA is alluding to with the improved graphics, and it isn't just simple frame-generation and upscaling anymore. @@VietnamT0M

How has its implementation changed? Or is that kind of complicated.
@Songfugel9 ай бұрын
@@terakahn It is very complicated top of the line AI generation stuff that combines NVIDIA hardware with software that not only upscales (as Cohh says), but is analyzing the motion vectors of the previous patch of frames and post-processing techniques to not only upscale, but generating and reconstructing most of the frames with this info with AI allowing your GPU to work as it had several times more processing power, since it only has to calculate only a fraction of the frames per second features that were not there As if these sort of things weren't already insane, DLSS3.5 added stuff like ray reconstruction that finally allows proper ray tracing to work, Cyberpunk 2077 is the best example of this in action. _"Ray Reconstruction, is part of an enhanced AI-powered neural renderer that improves ray-traced image quality for all GeForce RTX GPUs by replacing hand-tuned denoisers with an NVIDIA supercomputer-trained AI network that generates higher-quality pixels in between sampled rays._ _Trained using offline-rendered images, which require far more computational power than can be delivered during a real-time game, Ray Reconstruction recognizes lighting patterns from training data, such as that of global illumination or ambient occlusion, and recreates it in-game as you play. The results are superior to using hand-tuned denoisers."_ -NVIDIA

I guess you can run the game on higher settings when using DLSS so it does look better without losing performance
