Went out with my buddies Arjay and Arjay for some weekday morning Coho action. We get into them quick as we land our first halfway through setting lines. Fishing remained hot for about the first hour then as the sun rose the bite slowed sustainably. Hope you guys enjoy and don't forget that I do charter trips!

Good job Captain Jordan! Like you, I get nervous when the lake goes FLAT in the middle of a good bite! Good move to stay on them…. (Check your Dipsy Diver chart for running depth at length out).

I love the clickers on! It’s the only way I can tell if a rookie fisherman is making headway. I don’t allow anyone to adjust the drags except me because I have 3 different brands of reels and they all can be different with respect to adjustment of drag, even the same brand. A couple of years ago a total newbie cranked down the drag because he could hear the clicker. Unfortunately he ripped the lips on the biggest rainbow I have ever had on. We all hear people say they love the sound of the screaming drag. It’s not the drag they hear it’s the clicker!

exactly. i guide part-time and bring alot of inexperienced people into the boat. the clicker allows me to know the drag setting and if we are making ground or not when reeling. if i turn them off they are quiet which helps with video audio at times but i lose alot of information audibly while out there

Another great video! I wanted to ask what rod lengths and power do you use for your setups?

for my dipsey rods i use 9.5ft medium heavy shimano taloras. My mono rods that i use early in the year for coho are just okuma deadeye medium action rods. They work great and i also use them when walleye trolling other times of the year. In a bit here though ill switch to all copper lines for my board rods and those i use a 8.5ft okuma glt copper rods.

Totally love your videos. Awesome every time. Can I ask a favor? Can you turn your clickers off when fighting a fish? It's all I can hear at times. Keep up the great filming.

When walleye fishing they drive me nuts but on big lake clickers are essential to capt or mate for setting lines, understanding drag setting during fight, size of fish on the line and speed its coming to boat ect while attending to other things happening on the boat. Camera sound is pretty far down the list when on fish.

@@thev1ol3nt I totally get it. I just turn my clickers off when fighting the fish. I like to hear what the guys are saying. Often the clicker tells you fish on first if your hunkered in warming up etc.

I'll try and remember to turn them off on coho and fish the drag doesn't matter as much. On large kings it's pretty essential to leave on so I know when we are gaining line or the fish is taking line though.
