wow....exactly what i was looking for! We went up to lake Michigan yesterday and all the Kings were gone...must be in the rivers??? I may drive back up and try the root river.
@BassAndBrews Жыл бұрын
Yep they all move to the rivers this time of year. You can sometimes still find them in the harbors at the mouth of the rivers. This current rain will draw them into the rivers even faster though.
@matthewd.3276 Жыл бұрын
How long will they be in the root river for? Looking to make a trip in the next week or 2. Thanks.

just curious, do trout and steel head make it to the second two parks you mentioned? I am wonder since the steelhead facility is down river cutting them off right?
@BassAndBrews2 жыл бұрын
Yes they do make it up to the next 2 parks. If the water is super high the fish can bypass the dam at Lincoln. But that is not normally the case. Usually the fish will enter the steelhead facility. The DNR will process them there, than send them up the river to let them continue their journey and for fisherman to catch.

It’s November the 3rd can I catch trout in the root river? Or is trout season over when does trout season end, answer ASAP
@BassAndBrews2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gabe’s, trout season is primarily in the spring. The fall time (now) is primarily salmon. The root river report shows 12 trout have entered the facility this fall, so not much for trout this time of year.

Question are there salmon by colonial park?
@BassAndBrews2 жыл бұрын
Yes, salmon are passed upstream from the steelhead facility. Check out our salmon fishing trip from 2021. We started fishing in colonial.
