What a find, not just this coil/derek jarman work, but the site itself; i only found it just now while looking for jubilee or tempest and will savour checking your many no doubt excellent videos (which i do hope are not pirated or illegally uploaded). I was friends with a lot of these artists, beginning in 1978 when i befriended throbbing gristle, i met douglas p in 1982 when he used to deliver (rough trade) records to my shop, i had the job of k422 label manager from 1984 till 1988. I was an astropsychologist during the 1980's and did astrological birth chart interpretations for derek and both geoff n sleazy; i spent a very long friday afternoon and evening in late summer 1986 drinking tea at derek's charing cross road flat. Sleazy's chart is the most difficult and challenging one i ever did, but equally the most satisfying and rewarding one. Ive always felt protective towards geoff, but understanding him via his chart and then interpreting it in terms that he could understand, was - i am sure - a major factor in the pair of them trusting and respecting me enough to land me the k422 job. I love the pair of them dearly, and proudly shouted it very loudly when leavng the royal festival hall with my arms draped round the pair of them in a very drunken stupor. I reminded sleazy of the occasion at geoff's menorial, told him how happy i was - no matter how pissed - to have done what i did. I look forward to our next meeting, where ever and when ever that may be.

I remember when Derek was working on this. He was having problems with the sound mix, and when I called in to deliver his weekly Danish pastries from Maison Bertaux he asked me to diagnose the problem. Powered monitors that hadn't been balanced properly. Simple fix. He wasn't the most technically minded person. But a genius and a wonderful human being who is still terribly missed.

The whole generation of people I adored are almost gone. I had to talk to most of them separately. From Burroughs to sleazy. Wasn’t ever friends with Geoff, unfortunately.

This is seriously one of the most amazing things in existence. Derek Jarman and Coil are immortal.

I only found this Coil's track some 5 years ago, and I've been mesmerized since the first listening! I have no clue as to what the voice is saying, but... who cares? It's COIL! Just love it, listen to it, and the awe will strike you! RIP Jhonn, Sleazy, Derek. You're not gone, as you live on in your music & art... 🖤💜🖤

Another proof of Coil's genius. Strong and hypnotizing, just like the rest of the Ciol's songs.

Without fail. I visited the complete Queer exhibition at Manchester with my best friend (he was queer too, but sadly died of an OD in front of me. I have a funny story but it involved shoplifting from the gallery shop. I said OMG Roney, I shouldn't have done that and he turned to me and said, it's what Derek would have wanted and that is an hilarious part of his last days I will never forget. He saw the man himself begging outside Manchester or the Whitworth 3 decades before. I was blown away with how Manchester curated and amassed what they did and how cohesive and extensive it was. I went bk day after day and wept at the beauty. Coil...I have the careful what you wish for t shirt and love their work. The Psychic rally installation, which I know was TG was unbelievable and Jordan's dance slowed down. A very very sad day for the World when these people we are here departed it. From a fan who has been a fanatic and who inspired me as a an early Teen until now. thank you Derek and all your team. Thanks Sleazy. Love always, Ben

The visuals is from a Pet Shop Boys concert projection from the 1989 tour. It was indeed filmed by Derek Jarman, but for the Pet Shop Boys tour.

I have no idea. I only found this video in a very obscure form around 15 years ago, and as I thought it was a masterpiece I uploaded it so everyone could enjoy it even in this limited form. I would love to see it in a better quality.
