Thanks, Sandy! This is beautiful and I love the way you teach it. Just wondering, do you attach the pendant to the bail itself or do you use a jump ring? Love your designs and thanks again for sharing your artistry with us!!
@SandyHuntress Жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you like the project, thanks for the nice comment! ☺️ If you plan ahead, you can attach your pendant directly to the bail, if it’s facing in the correct direction. Usually it’s easier to simply add it afterwards with jump rings.

Thank you so much! contrary to what some said on comments, your hands were not in the way. I saw some also did not understand the reason to make bails like this. Personally I would prefer to make them, because it gives a extra touch of art. Also, if they can’t figure out how to connect them, a good idea would be to slip the bead, charm or etc on before you make the spiral. People are always so critical on tutorials. You would think they would appreciate you sharing your knowledge, talent and skills. Thank you so much!!

Sandy, thank you so much for showing us this lovely technique! I am a novice at wire work, and simply trying to make a small pendant bail for a bead necklace. I did not have any pinch bails for these tiny leaf pendants and have to string 7 of them on my necklace. Only issue is... I have gold and silver wire at 24 gauge which seems too fine for this type of bail. I wonder if I can still make something smaller with this fine wire. The pendants have very small holes, front to back. I will be checking out your other videos and polymer classes too, many thanks!

Hello, nice designs! I assume that you attach your focal or pendant before closing up the bail loop?
@SandyHuntress2 жыл бұрын
Yes, or you can use jump rings to attach the focal.
@michellegregersen91072 жыл бұрын
@@SandyHuntress omg yes of course! I'm always thinking that wire work needs to connect directly to things.

Yeah, sorry about that. There were a few videos recorded with a fancy new USB microphone I was given. Microsoft does NOT make it easy to get the settings right for that kind of thing, grrrr.... I've since stopped using it. I keep thinking I should go back to it, but it's more work to set up and edit and so I just haven't. Thus for now the sound remains a wee bit echo-y but at least audible. :-/

Do you find the wire finish color lasts well, or wears off?
@SandyHuntress5 жыл бұрын
Good question, Darla! If you are using colored wire, the better the quality, the longer the finish lasts. If it's a concern, use solid copper wire or gold or silver filled.

No matter what I do I can’t seem to keep the coil tight together. Is there a trick for that?
@SandyHuntress Жыл бұрын
Coiling perfectly is tricky. It really just takes practice. Take your time and slowly and deliberately wrap each wire right next to the one before. The good news is that once you do it as well as you can manage, then use pliers to squish them a bit closer. The more you do, the better you'll get. 🙂

Yes, I got a new microphone and started using it in January. We've made adjustments to several things and I think we'll be good going forward. Let me know what you think of next Tuesday's video. That one will have all the new tweaks. :-)
@lass-inangeles75645 жыл бұрын
If you are listening on your PC, go to Control Panel, pull up the sound system and make adjustments there. This will increase volume drastically. I can hear just fine at medium volume. If you only reset your volume icon, it won't be enough if the main switch is turned to low.

How do you connect the pendant to the bail?

Interested in this design for a smaller less fussy bail but the constant fussing about with your hands then its out of view when you are tryin to show where to bend it - makes the video a challenge and then how are you connecting the bail to the pendant ?
@SandyHuntress4 жыл бұрын
A jump ring connects the bail & pendant.

Always appreciate your videos but for the last 10+ or so, I can barely hear you. I checked all my computer speakers and they are on 100% but more importantly, I don't have the issue with other videos (and I watch lots every day).
