The first box was not good, but the second box wasn't terrible. You still managed some decent finds. Thanks for sharing

Wow, I didn't know about that ARP fact. That must suck, since machine wrapped rolls aren't desirable and customer app rolls could already be searched. Clearly that doesn't stop you from getting a lot of good finds, love the channel!

Just finished a nickel hunt. Had some good finds as well as 60 nickel-nickels. I did roll up a roll of 2001P for either the next humter or the A.R.P. program and two rolls of 1982-2000 non-nickel coins. There aren't many years I do not have so I do nickel hunts more for fun and "varities". I agree that rolled ones from ARP are rather dismal and I do shy away from those! Hang in there all!

That first box of nickels was rough! I had a similar experience with some dimes once. When I got home, I noticed that every roll had a small X marked in pencil on the side

Great video again. Been searching dimes mostly lately and had some luck with a couple silver. First proof find last night. Found 8 in one roll ranging in dates between 1986-1995. All in uncirculated state. Can’t believe my luck. Keep the videos coming!

1996-2000 mintages also have the potential for silver because of some special release sets. ✌🏼🙌🏼🤘🏼

@ 5.05g weight for the silver nickel vs 4.6g average weight for the cupronickel mint. One way to tell the apart. That and the two I’ve found hunting have had some slight but very obvious tarnish blush on them that didn’t look par usual nickel coins. 🍻✌🏼

Fantastic watch, loads of great info😊. How many commemorative nickels are there out in circulation?
@CADRollHunter4 күн бұрын
There are only a handful. The 1951 nickel commemorative and the '67 featuring the rabbit are a couple. The Victory nickels of the 40's of course. And more recently the 1992, with the double dates (but it doesn't stand out, of course), and the 2005 Victory nickel and the 2017. I'm sure I'm missing something!

I always mark my nickels I return to my dump bank I never pickup at the same bank I dump and my mark is a special mark so I know i hunted them but I will hunt other marked rolls because just yesterday I hunted 1o marked rolls and found 2 1970 low mint beaver so sometimes you can catch rolls that the hunter missed the varieties so yes marked rolls sometimes reveal good finds

Do you know about the 1968 Bold Date? Check your '68s, theres one where the lettering and date on the reverse show more bold, and the denticles are noticeably different in shape/style.
