What I run into most are issues if you buy a coin, or “set”, and let the seller pick the coins. Always disappointing. In one case they were clearly plated, not just cleaned. Finally, even when buying a coin that has an actual picture (the only way I buy now), the picture is often not representative of what the coin will look like in your hand. LOL. I never buy anything expensive off Ebay for these reasons.

Bro you have a 2 american nickel with a reverse that is fully intact, full 5 steps I think is very valuable in the 1960's but I don't know if it's valuable on the wartime nickels......... But those nickels you have are gorgeous. Congratulations bro.❤❤👍👍👍👍

Bought the 2024 uncirculated, just to own a peace dollar. Have to pay duty on this (germany). And I am a little bit disappointed, that they did not struck it in real high relief. So next step: looking for a 1921 high relief in average shape. Thank god they are not that rare in MS62 or less.

Crazy hunt for sure! That's amazing to see what people can pass as a dime, and it's good for us, collectors. Dimes are very good for me as well. In my last pick-up, I got the equivalent of 3 boxes of dimes, where 25 rolls are machine, so they don't count. In the 2.5 boxes left, I got 2 x 1968 50%, 1 x 1960, and 1 x 1943, and the 5th one was a 1964 US, for me as well, so I got the exact same ratio as you did in your box. 5 silvers for 2.5 boxes... They came from 3 different banks, so that's better than if they's come from the same source. That means there can be some silver everywhere, as long as you avoid machine rolls. Dimes are fun for that, and I enjoyed you video. That's a great way to end the year, hoping the luck will continue...

I got 20 rolls of dimes and 25 rolls of nickels at my friend's house, the dimes are in plastic rolls and I didn't see any silver at first glance, but the nickels had a couple pre 82 enders so I'm excited for them Yesterday I metal detected in Toronto and I dug a 1981 quarter that was toned and dirty and I was super excited for a second cause I thought it was silver, it just looked different, till I got the date and it was just a nickel quarter😅

Always cool finding silver in the wild. Are you able to get American face value for the American dimes at the bank, or does the bank treat them like Canadian currency?
@CADRollHunter5 күн бұрын
No banks or currency exchange will accept US coins. As a result, they circulate pretty freely here in Canada - particularly when the exchange rate is favourable towards the US dollar, and nobody feels like they've been cheated by getting a US coin. People roll them up and deposit them all the time, and the banks don't particularly feel the need to do anything about it. Though it might be annoying if someone got a full roll of US quarters for the laundromat only to find the machines won't accept them...
@cowtippingrocks3 күн бұрын
@@CADRollHunter Might be worth saving the American coins and exchanging them for bills should you visit the US.

I sometimes get machine-wrapped rolls, but every time I get them, they're always all 2024s!
@Piggio85 күн бұрын
That’s why you ask them for individual rolls instead of entire boxes. Using that tactic, I find silver almost every time!
@CADRollHunter5 күн бұрын
I simply ask for customer wrapped rolls, whether I'm getting a full box or just a handful of rolls. That way I don't have send rolls back to the vault if they bring out machine wrapped rolls.

Amazing hunt to wrap up the year with a silver dime and multiple foreign coins as well! Also, a side note on 12:00, what you've found there is a 2007 1 jiao from China, which is 1/10 of a yuan. The reverse is the name of the People's Bank in China - the national bank of Communist China - in pinyin (Romanized) text.
