Yes, there is no 4% rewards option this month as the rewards do rotate every month. Since reward amounts can change on a month to month basis I don't know if or when the 4% back options will return. Perhaps it could be gone. It would definitely be nice if they changed to a fixed reward rate instead of rotating amounts.

Yes, you've got it. It is a debit card that can earn your crypto rewards. You can have it pull from either one of your crypto wallets or your fiat wallet 👍

I want to transfer money from my bank to my Coinbase Debit Card so I can start getting rewards. I want it to be stable, should I load it to US Dollar or USD Coin? I'm not really sure the difference

The only difference I took from the video is if you want money(fiat) available to spend you can transfer it to the card so it's readily available. Or you can choose to load the transferred amount to the usdc and just choose that option as your spending option

I love my Coinbase visa card. I use USD to spend and receive paycheck the cash back earns the crypto and accumulates. Very nice.

What about the capital gain taxes? If I purchase TV with this debit card using BTC that I gained from it. I don’t have to pay taxes since I bought the T with that capital gain ?

No ….cash only …using crypto is a taxable event on every purchase since they sell it to pay it in cash on their end

So to put 150 bucks on the card …3.50 in transaction fees ….and with the 0.5 rewards ..I can get 75 cents in rewards after the 3.50 fee , that I could of just used to buy the rewards for cheaper 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes it does when spending a crypto asset. I think it's a good card to have in case you ever need to access your crypto funds quickly in an emergency, but you're right, that's definitely something to take into consideration.

If you use usdc i would think not. Also there is no fee with usdc. You can use any crypto but you have to pay high fees.

No, I believe fees will still apply in this case. The card won't have any fees, the fees would be coming from the Coinbase app/exchange.

You might as well just use a 2% cash back credit card like the Citi Double Cash! I also have a Discover Cashback Debit Card that gives me 1% cashback and while it's less, the money is 100% FDIC insured and won't fluctuate in value! Coinbase is pretty much going the way of the dodo for me!

Yes 2% is not enough for me to go through the trouble of loading it and using it for my purchases. I hope everyone stops using it until they bring back 4% if they ever will.

Yes, the rewards do rotate every month. It's true there is no 4% category this month but it could definitely come back in future months. Their website still advertises the card as up to 4% cash back. So I think we just have to keep an eye out each month for the new rewards. But I agree, I hope they bring back the 4% on a more consistent basis as well!

You could, but it’s better to just use cash that way you’re not pulling from your investments. Plus you could get taxed heavily for pulling from your investments.

It is not obsolete. Like I said, the rewards do rotate every month. There is no 4% category this month but the reward amounts and coins can change on a month to month basis. The reward rate is just variable. But I agree it definitely would be nice if they left a fixed 4% reward option every month.
