The Pears' Soap coin is certainly an interesting relic - probably a foreign coin was used deliberately as it would have been illegal to deface a British coin - not the sort of publicity Pears would have been looking for! Thanks for the video, Paul.

That’s what we want to hear, nothing better than hearing someone’s excitement, even if it is an advertisement on a French Coin, I am guessing you’ve been long aware of these or may even have had one before, nice to see it in your collection 19:26 I am guessing that is just muck where a mint mark may be, and I don’t believe you’ve ever covered 1929 with known mint marks

Funnily enough, I recently got a job lot of coins and one of them has that “Pears Soap” stamp on a french coin just like the one in the video! Didn’t think much of it but think I’ll definitely hold onto that now 👍 interesting history!

Again a few nice pennies found in this hunt. I noticed that you skiped through those 1920 pennies and 1909 pennies, where the 1 of the date might line up with a tooth, very quickly. Do you check them for rarity afterwards?
