I'm happy about this video,I actually own a collection with this specific kind of errors, I put some out for sale and people lacking knowledge about this error were thinking they are just damaged,because of that ignorance they kept on saying my coins were parking lot trash and pretty much think I have no understanding of minting process,when in fact they don't know about this minting process error.i hope they see your video and do a little research and educate themselves.nice video and topic thank you.

I can remember seeing double struck coins in the past, thinking"why would somebody squeeze that coin with pliers or a vice?" Now I know what I was seeing was a double strike of the Memorial columns or Montecello, etc. Dammit Shaun...... you just threw SOMETHING ELSE in the mix to slow down coin roll hunting.. 😂😂 Keep it coming!
@laurenreneeyates38095 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim I LOVE the ... Something Else ... IKR?! lmfao 🤣 been slowing WAAAAAY down myself on Coin Roll Hunting (as I'm looking at 2 boxes atm each with 2/3rds STILL IN THERE) since the 2018D Lincoln Shield Double Ear Discovery then (I love this video!) The Most Significant U.S. Coin Varieties from 2009-2019 Daaaaaaaang🤦♀️ Luckily I had actually started setting aside (while going back thru the mounds of coins looking for all of the above plus more) the coins with prints not fingerprints lol but prints of dates or whatever that was "not suppose to be there" lol NOW I need Shaun to tell me rather US the Loyal Entourage💱 how to slam Ebay with all of these coins 😂 lmao (I've kept a few for my own collection) CAN'T SELL ALL OF THEM no fun in collecting if I do that... just wanted you to know that was a way cool comment you left 😎 Happy Hunting 😊 Lauren⚘

This is my first comment to you blue ridge. First and foremost thanks for all the great videos and information you present the community. As a child in the 70’s me with my grandparent would go through mint bags primarily for older coins. But I’m intrigued with today’s new crh and believe I may have to get back into it. I still have many older coins that have just sit for years. You and several other crh channels have really made me think. I value the chase of finding a treasure all of the varieties one could find. As it was from my youth alas then you could still find 1800’s coins in bags fairly easy. Now it’s varieties and errors so thank all of you who promote and educate and happy hunting my good sir.

When a double strike happens to the coin you are viewing, what would have happened behind it or to the next blank in line? Would there not have been another planchet already in place to get struck or does the next coin not get fed because this double struck one has not left the shoot yet? I've seen a video of coins being made and they are FLYING through the press at a very high speed. Its baffling thinking of one coin sticking in place and where was the next one in line ??

Hey Blue ridge, Shaun, Have you heard about any new varieties with the new 2019-P- American Memorial Park. I believe I found a Double Die variety on mine. I'm trying to get a good enough picture so I can show you. I have only 2 American Memorial Park Quarters and both are Doubled Dies. I also have a 2019-P Lowell and its doubled as well... Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going cross eyed. I will send pics as soon as I get my laptop up and ready in just a bit.

Definitely! The terms are "die break", "die chip". They appear as raised spots, bumps, lines, etc., where those such things shouldn't be.
