i worked at dunkin donuts when i was 16 and thats when i started my coin collection. let me tell you the coins and bills people gave me for payment is insane!. i had a deal with my manager i could look thorough all the coins take what i wanted and pay it with regular coins. i looked forward to going to work to see what i could find lol

I literally do this every single time I get paid in 50s or hundreds I want change I don't care to have bank accounts Yes I know the different benefits and reasons to get one but because of certain specific reasons I'm having to deal with certain situations that make me not use them so because I need change I will go and get groceries that I needed to get but I'll always pay $49 or 99 dollars over into the self checkout machines that way it is forced to break my money

Depends on the store and area. In Canada some of the self checkout machines I have seen don’t give bills in return. If you pay with a $20 bill for $1 you get $19 in coins. We also have 1 and 2 dollar coins and no 1 or 2 dollar bills. 1 store by me the total was $5.05 and I put in a $20 bill and 5¢ coin for a total of $20.05. I got $15 worth of $1 and 2$ coins instead of a $10 and a $5.

My local grocery store just got rid of the coin star so this is gonna come in handy plus they'll be pissed I'm using self check-out like that.

alot of people's kids or grandchildren take coins or bills from their parent's or grandparents not knowing the true worth and use it for candy or dunkon donuts. i keep them locked up lol

I pulled 16 cents out of the coin star coin return today, including a 1964 silver dime

Another trick for the reverse effect. If you put dollars into a soda vending machine and push coin return you can get quarters back on return. Also most soda machines, say If you don’t like the quarters you got, put them back in and hit the coin return most likely you’ll get all different quarters back. Obviously all machines are different. I do this at work to cycle out all the newer quarters for error hunting 😂.

Everybody no he did not get free money if you're thinking, what he did was put the exact change in the machine to cancel the purchase so he could get paper cash to see if he gets a goodie back in return. He is a numismatic wizard that's on a coin hunt even though he push coins in from the beginning, you get it.
