That was fun to watch. I hope it didn't take any Barber coins that you might have missed. lol. I've only been doing this hobby for a little over 2 years and haven't turned in any coins yet, maybe at the end of this year I'll turn them in. I tumble wash them and put the pennies/nickle/quarters/etc. in separate jars. If I do turn them in, I'll post the amount on one of your video comments.

We had a blast at claim 1 and the people are so nice. Kinda bummed didn't get there till almost end wanted to meet Graham. And didn't know there were 9 claims wow. Had supper fun and found color under a fairly large rock. Sorry I babble alto but hope to see ya out at the claims. Very pretty area. And lastly great haul man. I often see numismatists asking if they took time to look through for rare and odd coins as they are valuable, yet they may not realize those are rejected by the machine due to their difference and value on the coin market. Let alone those leaving said reject behind not realizing they may be worth more than the coins face value.

Many numismatists who said he should have looked through for rare and off prints do not realize those are rejected by the machine by design due to the detection system inside and think Coinstar takes said coins, Most off print coins are not worth the effort to sell but those containing copper or silver and gold are worth the most or the steel penny example are worth way more than face value or the off print or odd coins. Foreign and fakes are also rejected

Gigmaster Not talking about handing them a jar of coins. Many Banks have Machines similar to Coin Star Wich Don't Take a Percentage of your money. Check out "Republic First BANK" as an example. The Brand Machine they use is called "Magic Money Machine". No matter what state you live in Banks use the Free Coin Counting Machines as a way to try to get new customers. Anyone can use the machines though, you don't need an account there..

I took a bunch of coins to Bank of America here in California. They gave me a large plastic bag that is used for deposits and seals with two glue strips on the flap at the top. They sent it to the armored company that services their branch where it was counted and then the entire amount was deposited into my account. No fees or service charge and the amount was correct to the penny. I knew because I thought the coins had to be rolled which I did before going to the bank. If I remember correctly, it was something like $119.00.
@catw69983 жыл бұрын
We asked one of our local banks about that too. They wanted us to sort & put into wrappers and to top that off, they would still charge us a %. I don’t believe it was as much but we still had to sort and put into wrappers.

Dennis Gore You have a hard time just seeing what type of coin it is sometimes! I dont think the bank would like it.
@Joshua79C6 жыл бұрын
Most banks far as i know only look for foreign or fakes, they may not look at each coins like the Coinstar machines does as certain coins are worth big value than what they are face valued for due to their metal content or printing date or errors.
