It's sort of annoying how sometimes families mock the profound moment these color blind people experience with these glasses. And the constant shrieking and questions. Just let them adjust and experience the moment.

those shrieking awful females, i come from the south and i can tell which ones were raised as princesses. what happens is the men in the family wind up being pushovers to their loud mouths

I think a lot of people get very uncomfortable with the emotions that the colorblind person is displaying, so they often laugh and joke a lot to try to reduce their own discomfort. Which really isn't fair to the person who is realizing what they have been missing their whole lives. I've seen hundreds of these videos, and this reaction by the bystanders is very very common. And annoying too. The worst is how children act-they are just being kids, but it can be frustrating-kids think the world revolves around them (normal human development), so they can't stand it when the colorblind person is getting all the attention. They make a lot of noise, often demand to try out the glasses, etc. Neither the children nor the adults are purposely trying to disrupt the experience; they often just can't help it.

Right!?! They're overwhelmed, let them feel what they're feeling without making them feel bad for it.
@hummingnectarbird6 жыл бұрын
This is profound for them. People w/o colorblindness take it for granted. But he's never seen the world around him in all its beautiful glory. Stop. Leave him alone. Let him experience instead of joking, pushing things in his face before his eyes are fully adjusted or singing or screeching and taking away from the beauty for him. We want to see and hear HIM, not people hopping around, singing nonsense songs, and ruining the importance of the moment. The best experiences are when people are outdoors, experiencing real color instead of reproduced pigments, and leave them to experience it in silence for a while.
@briana.g.7412 Жыл бұрын
I got frustrated watching the people around but they just don't understand the depth of the situation. They think it's just about seeing balloons, not the fact that he's seeing the whole world differently or taking it into consideration the years of frustration and confusion of seeing things differently and duller than everyone else. And how many times did someone get frustrated with him as a kid when he couldn't find something or brought back the wrong thing? How traumatic was elementary school when teachers use color as a teaching aid with everything?

@Evija3000 you were right , down south right where the original 13 colonies was we developed a accent where we talk like we cook ( low and slow: with emphasis on the vowels instead of the syllables), I say we bcoz I have family from there specifically the states of Georgia ( the school on his shirt ) , Texas , Alabama and Louisiana
