I love Galarraga, and he came over and brought some serious pop to the lineup and was a father figure in many ways. I'm disturbed by the foreign flag that was promoted during this video. This is America.

Your 2000 MLB Comeback Player of The Year! After missing all of 1999 with battling non-hodgkin's lymphoma while the Braves made it to the World Series that year only to be swept by the New York Yankees, Galarraga would hit .302 with 29 homers and 100 RBI's in 2000.

As soon as I got out of High School during my Freshmen year, I immediately went over to a friend's house to catch the last part of that Rockies/Braves game just to see one of my heroes back after battling & beating lymphoma & to come back & hit a homerun in his 1st game back & against his former team, (my beloved Rockies) was like the ultimate comeback to the sport! I wanted to cry after seeing that. It was such a special moment for both me & "The Big Cat"

How could you downvote this?!? The man was my hero growing up, I watched him literally almost hit a grand slam off Kevin Brown (who never gave up HR’s) out of Pro-players Stadium in Miami on a brutally hot, muggy afternoon. It landed about. 15-20 rows from leaving the stadium completely! Unfortunately now I was recently diagnosed with stage IV cancer, and I still use this as my inspiration.

The Example given for The Big Cat will be never caugth upon by this new generation of baseball players, overcome from cáncer not to use asteorids. Even When Galarraga supports players like Miguel Cabrera in a humble way to recognize his ability to batting, this guy had done bad and awfull things for a supposed sport idol like been caugth droken hitting his wife and make marks in his body (Tatto) as the animals to be not stolen,Absolutelely they are not a good example for childs and teenagers as was Andrés Galarraga The Big Cat. Look the garbage of Alex Rodríguez, josh Hamilton, Albert Belle, José Canseco, Miguel Cabrera bad behaviour inside and outside the baseball fields!!! Baseball needs players giving a permanent good example not need to be a public hospital of players Insane!!!!
