Greatest band I ever saw. Period. Proud to say they're all friends. And, man--I miss the hell out of Bruce. Think of him every day.

I was lucky enough to see the band with this lineup (and a few more minus Matt) 7 or 8 times in this period (‘90-‘93). Hands down most consistently mind-blowing ensemble I ever got to see, playing venues that held 300-500. It’s really rare to get to see a band that good up close like that. It seriously reset my head. luckily, they came through Oxford, Memphis, and Jackson close to me, just happened to be in the right place at the right time…

I got to see Bruce many times in Atlanta when the Hampton Grease Band opened for many of the large bands that played there, their music was amazing. There were times when they were better than the headliners.

Saw them in 1991 at The Steven TalkHouse in Miami, same members. Nowadays Oteil performs and lives here in South Florida.

This is a wonderful pro-shot video! I was lucky enough to videotape four of their early shows, including one with original member Reverend Mosier on banjo. They all have perfect sound, but are only a single-camera shoot. They can be found here: kzbin.info

I caught them live at the Phenix Hill Tavern in Louisville Ky. around 91. One of the best bands out there! About the same time I was catching John Scofield, Chick Corea Electric and Acoustic Band, Mike Stern with Bob Berg and Dennis Chambers, James Brown and The Grateful Dead all live around the same time.
