Enabling TPM 2.0 on Gigabyte Aorus Intel motherboard:
"The company (Gigabyte) has officially announced motherboards with chipsets from both Team Blue and Red that will support Windows 11 by default down the line by flipping on the PTT (Intel) or fTPM (AMD) feature within the BIOS settings and among them are the X299, C621, C232, C236, C246, 200, 300, 400, 500 series for Intel and TRX40, 300, 400, 500 for AMD. As the new OS is approaching us this year, GIGABYTE also encourages interested users to check out their current motherboard to make sure the upgrade path is readily available."

I want to thank you for your upload it was very helpful in getting my TPM enabled. I had it enabled when I first got Windows 11 and forgot where to find it to reinable it when I had a boot crash and had to reset and optimise the BIOS in order to reboot the system. I tried this but when my PC rebooted the Intel PPT option would default back to disabled, and I couldn't install Windows 11. So I looked on gigabyte's website and downloaded the newest version of the BIOS and installed it. After a few auto reboots, the new BIOS was there and the PPT default was now enabled and a lot of security features were also enabled. That fixed the Windows 11 requirement for me. Hope this helps someone.

@@youssefandrif9553 make sure secure boot is enabled plus tpm 2.0 then do the win11 test and it should work after u upgrade u can turn off both of them if u want to

​@@youssefandrif9553 Apparently, you need to disable "CSM Support" to Enable "Secure Boot" in your BIOS. Though, some people have said, this caused them problems like not booting or bricked their motherboard. But that may be because their HDD/SSD are in MBR and not GPT. You can check in Disk Management if you right click on the drive. (Google if you don't know how to check) Although, I've disabled CSM and enabled Secure Boot and I'm still getting this message of not meeting the requirements. I legit meet all the requirements, updated everything, drivers, etc. Still shows up. I might have to clean installing W11 on a USB to get on it.. I'll likely try doing it before October since that's when the free upgrade ends.

I would be very careful and if your motherboard is under warranty, make gigabyte walk you through this. My motherboard was only a month out of warranty. It was a gigabyte Aorus Gaming 9. As instructed , I enabled T.P.M. and after reboot, I was instructed to disable CSM. My motherboard never saw a post again. That motherboard now costs three times as much as when I bought it. After trying everything I knew, and the shops knew, we gave up and pronounced the motherboard dead. I know it is still good, as it goes through most of the codes before hanging. It never makes it to post. No amount of bios resetting, removing cmos battery, cmos resets, stripping down to just motherboard. Nothing brought it back to post, even though it powers all devices, goes through 9/10 of the proper codes, etc. Gigabyte informed me they do not have tech support like they used to, would not honor the board as it was thirty days out of warranty, and would not admit there is an issue with windows 11 prep and some of their boards. I was later to learn that there are many people out there, and not just gigabyte, but some asus too, that had the same thing happen. Gigabyte will not help you get a new bios chip, which is what my now very expensive flagship motherboard needs. I have learned that I have bricked my bios, which is what my board now needs. So I bit the bullet and bought an asus motherboard that is known for its ability to reset bios and its supposed to actually work. I certainly dont intend to find out again.. This error cost me about two grand.

Two important notes: 1)CSM Support must be disabled first, then follow your steps. Some of us already have CSM enabled in the Boot tab. 2)anyone attempting this without a GPT boot drive, won't be able to boot into Windows again. The User must verify they do not have an MBR boot disc "before" following these steps. Many thanks for the tutorial.

I'm also looking at a very similar build using an i7-13700 and a 4070ti. However I've seen bunches of people having problems installing windows on brand new builds. Several have even reported bricking their mother boards trying to do the updates to the bios to enable TPM to complete the windows 11 installs . That gave pause for a moment, as well as the hours many people invested trying to get the windows install to work, some being successful and some not. So my question is this, the Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite X and AX boards come with a TPM header so that you can install a discrete TPM chip on the mother board. Would that alleviate most of the troubles of installing windows 11? I've found TPM chips For between $9-$35 that seems like a better use of my time, especially if I don't need to worry about potentially bricking the motherboard. Thoughts

This failed for me. After following instructions (Undoing and Redoing several times) the board will only boot into BIOS. I lose all my boot options except the UEFI Generic Flash Drive Partition One which I assume is partition on my boot flash drive. I tried changing the boot drive to what I believe is the boot flash drive and following your instructions. It will boot into Windows but fails Win 11 because it requires UEFI. The Gigabyte web site is terrible for information. I did double-check and I am running the current 15b BIOS. If you could just point me in a direction I would delighted. Thx for reading.

Its been 13 months now since i last tried to boot my PC. But my computer upgraded from windows 10 to 11 and when i returned to check on it, it was sitting on a black screen looking for my boot device. Now my computer doesnt read my M.2 which holds my OS, i tried to do a windows repair and theres no backup/restore point because my pc doesnt recognize my M.2. Any Idea?

I tried doing what you showed, but my BIOS hangs after I try to save the changes. When I try to save the changes, the screen truns black, and there is just a white dash or underscore character shown. Then, I have to reboot because nothing happens after that. It is only when I try to enable the intel Platform trust technology setting that the BIOS hangs
