There appeared to be nothing written on the back when he turned the picture around. He was going along with her and only pretending to read names. The fact that he pronounced all their (even foreign) names correctly suggests that Stephen knew who all the actors were. He praised the cast because he knew their work.

@Joseph_Crawley 10 ай бұрын
@@MS-ii1sv a fair point. Although I feel that film Jessica and book Jessica are two similar yet different characters and should be handled as such. If she had read the books and had a preconceived notion of how Jessica should be played, that might have interfered with how the character should be played for the film. I guarantee she had people who did read the books and understand the character so well that were able to convey to her the essence of the character. Of course this is all speculation and opinion, and both arguments are valid. Having read the books and seen the movies in my opinion she did a damn good job.
@MS-ii1sv
@MS-ii1sv 10 ай бұрын
@@Joseph_Crawley The thing is that Jessica is a Bene Gesserit and as such she is not prone to bouts of crying or puking. She is a capable actress so I don't know if she just has a bad additude or if she was told to go that route by the director. Either way they missed an opportunity to display the formidable nature of the Bene Gesserit.
@briannewman532

If you had actually read the book yourself, you'd know that her portrayal of Lady Jessica is absolutely wrong. Nothing about the character in the film is even remotely like it's supposed to be. In truth, the entire film (both of them) fail to even begin to get anything about the books correct.

@@tylerjames7986 Comics are not a good source since they arent consistent. How many authors have written a Superman comic? How many times have Supe's powers or personality changes depends on the writer who wrote that story? If the director has a singular vision for a character, its better to have them follow their vision and keep it consistent in the universe they created.

the plot in Part 3 is going to be different. Part 2 is already substantially different. No Leto II, no Count Fenring, Chani is PISSED at the end rather than just taking it (Irulan), Paul sends the Emperor the "House Atreides Lives, motherclucker, come out and play" scroll. And that's just off the top of my head when I haven't looked at 90% of the book in 37 years. And, how could you leave her out? Denis Villeneuve is a genius though, he'll do whatever makes the (cinematic) story better.

Rebecca is such a flirt! I'm in love. Anyways, I love her playful rapport with Colbert. It reminds me of the rapport Colbert has when he has with John Oliver (from Last Week Tonight), or even the quirky fun dialogues he has with Jeff Goldblum. I wish Colbert would take Ferguson's offer to duo-host the tonight show. it would be like the time James Corden did it with that hip hop artist. Also Colbert should just do an hour long show with Colbert, Ferguson, and Goldblum each. I would not move from my seat. Anyways, another dialogue this reminds me of is train scene dialogue between Eva Green and Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.

I can't believe how someone like Rebecca who is this nice, charming, and beautiful got screamed on a movie set by her co-star. Good to know that Rebecca managed to defend herself and will never work with that actor who screamed at her ever again

In last two or three weeks she became my absolute favorite guest actor or actress I have ever seen on any show (apart from Comedians and Stand Up People)

THE MOVIE IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE TRAILER, never seen movie crafted that well before, but those who hadn't read the book couldn't fully catch everything.
