Yeah, but Oprah’s rules... Who gives a fuck about what Oprah likes or doesn’t? I grew up when she was still on network TV, and I always thought her “wise” advice was nothing but fortune cookie nonsense that anyone with half a brain could realize. And then “The Secret”. Believe in yourself? No shit. I picked that up from my parents and teachers. That Colbert was barely able to hide his cringe when Reese seemed embarrassed that she didn’t know her “rules” says enough.

Reese's comment allows for the given: that it goes without saying that the assistant was "sent". Imagine: she'd take it for granted that it was implied. It's not like Reese was bitching about Oprah, so she's not going to go full detail on it.

My stupid Reese Witherspoon story: While filming Wild she stayed at the hotel I work at for a few days on Mt. Hood.
