These Starkid comments are sending me lol, but I actually have been to Tramp Stamp Granny's several times and wanted to talk about it a little bit. If you ever have the opportunity to go, DO. It's one of my favorite places in the world. It's a small place, with a full bar, a few booths, and stools around the piano. I usually get there when it opens at 8 and plonk myself onto a stool and stay at the piano until it closes at 2 (most people stand around and dance though lol). The pianists are FABULOUS, especially Laura Wiley. Darren isn't lying either, he's there a lot. He's shown up probably 75% of the times I've gone, and always hops on the piano for a few songs before hanging out in a private booth or outside (and it's a testament to how amazing the place is, because I've literally had to choose between getting to see Darren Criss hang out in the patio and keeping my spot at the piano stool, and I usually choose the piano). And when he gets on the piano, I'm literally less than 2 feet away lmao. Everyone there is so nice and so happy, it's just an absolute joy to be a part of. The bartenders are fun, the pianists are incredible, and I've never seen any drunk drama. They also have themed nights, Queer Cabaret, Disney night where they encourage cosplay, etc. I was lucky enough to win their first singing competition and their second Halloween costume contest (as Ursula), and my my won their first costume contest (as Maleficent). And despite being owned by the Man himself, it's not impossible to get in. It very much feels like a small, intimate piano bar that absolutely does get lit when they play the same songs they play every single time. I adore it, and if you're ever in Southern California, I cannot recommend the place enough. 💕💕
