I was in the audience for this interview. It’s interesting how Stephen does the breaks. They do the entire interview then record the throws to commercial. Stephen messed up the first throw and redid it. Hugh kind of threw a wrench in the works there. He’s referencing the flub which made the redo a little less effective. They had already spent more time talking than he had planned so a third attempt was not possible (besides it setting up an awkward moment of correcting the guest).

The problem I have with the Late Show is that Stephen Colbert, the host, is Not There more than he is! Do you have issues that require you to take so much time off?
