I really enjoyed the way he broke it down. He gave us the methods to his Madness (Genius). He doesn’t just randomly play, he’s playing actual well though out patterns (notes) and reasons each dynamic of the particular part of the kit he’s playing. He’s actually BETTER than I thought he was the first time I happened on this channel. Bravo 👏 👏👏🙌 Thanks for sharing this one!!! 🥁!

This man is a complete skilled Monster on drums and a down to earth person that don't mind teaching and sharing his concepts and theory of drum playing and different formats and situations when playing different styles of music, and another thing, he's not big headed like most drummers I known that's from past engagements to today. "A Drumming Skilled Beast".

for a guy who claims to know no theory or read music, or know rudiments, he has a very good and full understanding of poly rhythms, traditional Latin groove idioms, and every technical nueance that makes music, and HIS playing so incredible. I can see that he would be [is] an excellent teacher despite his self deprecating nature. His humility is as amazing as his playing. Yes Colby, the dude DOES no what he is doing. Love this guy. Doing the 4/4 6/8 over lay isn't that difficult as long as you establish a constant for the note count as in the 4 or quarter note in 4/4 and the 8 or eighth note in the 6/8 as he does in his left foot on the hi hat. It is actually a lot of fun going back and forth from different time signatures IF you have a constant like he has established with his left foot. I wrote an arrangement of Chick Corea's Spain and La fiesta that does that, it goes back and forth from the 4/4 Spain rhythm to the 6/8 (3/4) rhythm of La Fiesta. Great that he can illustrate that so well.

I am a long time drummer. Really I started in 1977! And I am as impressed as you and everyone else are. This man is just on another level. And your facial expressions mimic my own. Why do we even try when there are dudes like this out there. Because we love drums, but dammit man. It just does not seem fair. But you gotta love it, and be inspired or just quit! That man makes you question what you are actually playing for. Must be personal enjoyment I think because damn!

Me too. I started in 1977 at 6 years old sitting in with my Dad's drummer and replicating his patterns. This guy makes me wonder how I ever thought I was a pretty good drummer and want to dive deeply into some music styles I've never really been exposed to. I guess we play for the fun - if I compared myself to someone like this I'd drop the sticks and never look back. Lol

"What do you think?" I think he said "You can play this very fast." No, no I cannot. I cannot play that, that fast man. I cannot play that, Sam I am. And, like, listen, I'm a hard core Buddy Rich fan, have been for a long time, and have long put John Bonham followed by Danny Carrey just below him, with respects for other greats like Art Blakey and Gene Krupa along the way. But this guy... this guy is getting close to topping even Buddy for sheer ability. What I'd really love to see now would be him to tone it down a bit in the volume and double-bass, and show off that complexity with some subtlety in some swing and big band pieces, like Maynard Ferguson's faster and more upbeat version of "Caravan", or Buddy's "Birdland". Then again, I also really want to hear him totally wreck "Master of Puppets" or "Lateralus". Or "Too Many Puppies", or a million other things.

Honestly, I'd say most likely one in a billion. There cannot be more than a few hundred drum savants like Siberiano is. The level of coordination between the brain and each limb SEPARATELY is just impossible to understand. I would love to see fMRI used on him and on another, more average level drummer to see how differently their brains light up.

I follow the Groovefather and have for years...for what ever reason your reaction videos keep showing up in my feed. To me this is the pinnacle of someone gaining attention from someone else's hardwork. I get it man, reaction clips is trendy at the moment (which i find very strange), but in a way I don't. Anyone reading this, just follow the man himself and not this guy just 'reacting' to another man's hard work. Reaction videos is a cheap way of getting views. Just saying, no disrespect, though why not post your own clips rather than jumping on the wagon of someone else's...

Once again, the point is proven, the better the drummer, the less drums he needs to do the part. Most drummers hiding behind huge kits, are looking to impress you with what they have, not with what they can do. Unfortunately, you can't buy talent. I know some excellent drummers use a huge kit but they are the exceptions, they actually use the kit. And usually have amazing solos.
