You two are so adorable and kind to one another. Seeing you be so sweet together is almost as fun as watching you react to the song! I really enjoyed seeing your enthusiasm and love for this one. Your eyes lit up at the perfect moments and then you both looked so disappointed that it was over. Fantastic stuff :)

Absolute brilliance right there! This song was written after Jimmy’s terrible treatment by the US record industry. I knew you’d love to see him in full belting mode. One of the best rock and then soul singers that ever lived !! Love you guys!

This song is a great statement on so many levels. "You got nothing I want/need" could be a statement of healthy rebellion against corrupt authority. It is very relevant in today's world. A song of the people.

Grew up listening to all the Cold Chisel songs & I was lucky enough to see them live once. Brings back great memories. Another of Jimmy`s songs I know you would love is - When Your Love Is Gone

I will also add " Breakfast at Sweethearts". Sweethearts is (or was) a diner in the Sydney entertainment area where bands would go after their gigs & parties. Talking early morning. The photo of Breakfast at Sweethearts was taken down stairs in the Sydney Hilton (not Paris) hotel at the Marble Bar. Had a few lemonades there over the years. It is just down from Town Hall subway station.

There's nothing like classic Chisels first thing in the morning with your coffee to wake you up 😍 Well that was my morning experience watching your reaction. I think you may love them as much as I do. Ok, so I am awake now. Next song has to be Cheap Wine which is another classic. Forever now is also a good one. Standing on the outside, Rising Sun, Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye) so many great songs. Keep them coming cos I love your reactions.

Cool... somehow I just knew you'd like that... 'specially you Domenica!! There's something irresistible about this one, put it on at a party, crank it up, and no matter the age group, the crowd'll go off like a frog in a sock!

After a failed attempt to break into the U.S. market, Chisel were unhappy with the effort of their U.S. promoter only to have them turn around and say “have you considered that you just might not be playing well?” Jimmy penned this song as a big middle finger response to that attitude.

Jimmy wrote this one and I believe that made it so every member of the band had a 1 hit song in Australia and they were the only band to do that.

Love the love of Cold Chisel. I think your wife would love The Angels. Doc Neeson doesn’t have Jimmy’s pipes but they have that Aussie Rock sound. I would suggest Shadow Boxer or Take a Long Line. Keep up the great work!

I can understand you feeling like you could recognise Cold Chisel if you heard one of their songs on the radio. It would be interesting to see how you found listening to I Am An Island by Richard Clapton. Richard used both Jimmy Barnes and Ian Moss for Backing Vocals and Guitar on that song, plus some of the guys from INXS (as well as other icons from the Australian music industry). It’s a great, distinctive song. The video shows a different guitarist, but the studio track is definitely Ian Moss. I think you’d love it.

This was the full tilt starting track off the brilliant Circus Animals album. The next track on the album is Bow River (which you already reacted to) and then the excellent quasi-reggae rock Forever Now. It’s a super strong album, and the last one with the full band (Jimmy and the drummer Steve Prestwich used to physically fight with each other, so the next (and final) studio album before their official breakup was Twentieth Century, which had another drummer on many tracks. You Got Nothing I Want is full of brash energy, but still with the excellent performances that the band was famous for. Love it!

Being in Australia, it was mandatory to see the Chisels on the weekend. $5 entry, can you believe it? Don Walker (pianist) was a student at the University of New England in Armidale NSW. Top spot but bloody cold. Any questions about Aussie pub rock from the 1960's to mid 1980's, just shoot them through.

Cold Chisel's rejection to the USA music movers who stuffed them around when they went over there to try to break into the US scene. It was America's loss! My partner and I would not have "clicked" if we had met in our younger days, either. Ah, the lessons to learn that life and resulting maturity give to you !

Their style is that they have no gimmicks and they are old school rock with piano back up. There aren't too many bands around with that combination.
