Cold Front | Level-8 warning issued as Western Cape battles severe storm surge and high winds

The South African Weather Service has issued a level 8 warning for damaging winds in the Western Cape. A series of cold fronts are expected to make landfall today, continuing into most of next week, bringing high winds, heavy rain, and snowfall over the mountains. Provincial Disaster Management Centre officials have been deployed to manage the influx of incidents, and dam levels are being closely monitored. Authorities are urging people to reconsider travel and outdoor activities and to avoid unnecessary travel over the next week. Thousands of residents are already experiencing discomfort after days of rainfall and strong winds, which have caused extensive roof damage. Our reporter Vanessa Poonah is on the scene.

Please take precautionary measures in advance guys. Remove all lose stuff laying around the yard, keep your pets indoors. Rather buy extra groceries etc since roads most probably will be flooded. Be safe 🙏

Then go and find a job. I saw a farmer stop to pick up workers to pick fruits on his farm. Most of the people standing there refused the job. The same guys stand their every day begging for a R5. It's no more R2 they beg for. They have upped their rates. I used to give them but no more.
