W Cape Floods I 500 Ward 99 residents in Khayelitsha to be relocated temporarily: Mmamoloko Kubayi

At least 500 residents from storm-ravaged ward 99 in Khayelitsha will be relocated temporarily.
That's according to Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi who is visiting the area.
Kubayi says the department will provide emergency building materials by Saturday to those whose structures have been blown away.

This is yearly thing, every year in Cape Town around this time there are heavy rains and storms, shacks get flooded and destroyed, when the storms die die down, peoppe rebuild their shacks at the very same area. This is a cycle.

@@johannmatthews7476 😆 🤣 😂 architects don't design shacks. Illegal immigrants, street people and desperately poor people build shacks. The problem is they just invade a piece of ground and build shelters with whatever they can find, without thinking of infrastructure and safety.
