Thanks G! Hope it wasn't dragging on too much. Yes, some of the grafts seem to be working out nicely, which is great because going into fall seems a little less ideal timing than in spring.

Great round up tour thank you, really enjoyed it. No way I could risk leaving those sorts of plants outside

I've been growing so many plants that I'm to the point where I try to push the larger one's cold tolerance a bit before bringing inside for the winter. Last year, I brought my citrus trees inside for only one month; from mid December and then they went back out in mid-January. I feel like they definitely looked healthy and produced plentiful fruit following winter. I'm guessing that except for any really cold weather ice and snow storms, they would be ok all winter in the climate here.

I love this type of tour. I'm trying to make some tropical fruit grow here in Northern Italy. We 've got some things in common with Seattle's climate :)

Looking forward to an update after winter, if your gonna try keeping the citrus outside all winter. Also, at what temp you bringing your Mexican avocados in?
@EastsideGardening12 күн бұрын
Thanks for stopping by. Sure, I can do another similar video in January. I probably won't bring in the Mexican avocados unless we get some hard freezes in the forecast, like below 28F. Even then, I might just move them against the house under an eave, and maybe hang a cloth or piece of plastic temporarily.

@ Yes, always love seeing your videos as we’re so close here in western Washington. My low last year was 14 degrees, I’m assuming you’ve got the same climate, but I know a warm house can give you the micro climate needed for a short cold spell. Just curious as I’ve lost a few Mexican avocados and citrus to cold temps and I’ve kept them in a mildly warmed greenhouse.

@@yochanontheseeker1942 Hmm. Sorry to hear that. My first winter of having citrus trees, I had several of them die back to the rootstock with root rot and fungal problems.
