Hi Tn Tropics, a winter wonderland about 100 miles ENE of you with a low of 22* and a inch of snow. Thanks for clearing up a few myths. This time last year we were in the 60*s and mild.

Kirtland, Ohio Vic here TN. Thanks for the Ohio plug. I finally got all of my Trachys covered just before the lake Erie storm came in leaving six foot of snow in areas along the shoreline. I am in the snow belt but am lucky we received only a foot of snow. Another storm coming in off the lake Tomorrow night. I spent all of last week getting the palms boxed up and electrified with heat and temp sensors. What a work out. I added a new member and had to build a five foot high box for the Sago Palm i planted in ground this summer. First time i am experiencing with a Sago Palm in the Ground. I noticed in all you vids that i do not recall seeing an inground or even potted Sago. Any thoughts on inground protection or just planting a Sago in ground and then protecting it any advise? Thanks TN.

Thanks for watching. I don’t have a sago and I am not real familiar with their needs. Wow that is a lot of snow!

From experience during the 2021 freeze here in Houston the mule palms didn’t completely burn when it was 14° with snow and ice so yours might hang on a bit longer

How cold tolerant are majesty palms? I’m in Mississippi in zone 8b, I got one this past summer and planted it in ground (because the majority of palms aren’t houseplants) and I currently have it wrapped, it seemed to be taking the cold pretty well, but I went ahead and wrapped it up, just to be safe

I think mid 20’sF prolonged cold may beat them up
