If it were me id do the following... 1) re-adjust the kitchen a bit and expand it to the right a block with a step up 1 block to a door to a... 2) make the remainder of the bedroom into a Cellar. 3) raise the roof and make a loft above the cellar and half the 'living room" complete with a bed and some clothing/valuables storage 4) appropriate the old cellar as a small storage room for all the forge and metal needs 5) make the hidy-hole next to the "old cellar" into a staircase going further below the mound you built the house upon and dig out a large storage room for all the bulk storage and other stuff you dont need all the time. 6) back up in the living room, take out the majority of the wall opposite to the current bedroom and make a very large window that you can easily see out of from the "Loft Bedroom" That would make for a very nice little home and some clever use of the space.

Oh hey, so that Chisel mod pairs fantastically with Workbench Extended which lets you copy things at the table with chisel durability. Its a perfect stop-gap before you progress into Iron/Meteoric/Steel to utilize the Pantagraph and accompanying Chisel variations. P.S. The Bench itself looks awesome as a decorational workbench for a work area, all thats missing is a cork/peg board to put on the wall above it LOL!!!

Thanks, I am super familiar with workbench. I used it exclusively until I discovered chisel tools. I won't be adding any extra mods for this playthrough though. This was supposed to be as basic as possible, so all chiseling will have to be manual :)

I feel like this is just a normal thing even without challenges. Everything is based on location. I spent 30+ hrs in a world with some pretty poor generation and couldn't find anything, then in another world I found a fantastic looking spot and it just so happened to be very close to all the stones and ores. In the first world there I was struggling tin and even copper, but in the other world with the good location I spent the same amount of time and I'm already into helve hammers and iron/meteoric iron. The only thing I'm kind of hurting for is Borax and Salt but that's the norm. It's all location location location.

All them cows... you aint bringing home the bacon Youre pulling an Arbys, because YOU HAVE THE BEEF! Speaking of, id love to see the ancient cows or current cows added to Vanilla as well as a differentiation of "Red Meat" and "Bush Meat". Id love to see Raw Beef, Raw Venison, Raw Pork, etc etc... oh and we cant forget about actual vanilla fishing like Primitive Survival adds, that would be fantastic!
